Q&A: How to find out the circuit diagram for sony tv?

It was a christmas treat I purchased for myself and I decided not to set it up until Christmas day.

The set up was extremely easy, hook up a HDMI cable to the amp or blu-ray player, use the remote and select “menu” and choose “x.v.Color mode”. In a few seconds, you have the dynamic images from the blu-ray disc projected on the screen, the colors are extremely even, the white real bright, and the black real dark.
I am not an expert and it is my first projector. But I did all the research I could do. Initially I want to buy Optoma HD20 but found Epson 8350 was much better. I am so happy. It’s so wasteful to spend so much money on HD TV’s which do not make even half the picture size of this monster. I am projecting it on a 138 inch screen.

The mount leverages three of the five holes on the projector. I have to tell you this is a nice piece of hardware It’s really stiff which is great for vibration and in the event you bump it. Hands down an amazing mount.

I ran one HDMI from my Sony AV Receiver and it works wonderfully displaying PC, Cable TV, Bluray, and Xbox.

I have this hooked up to an Onkyo receiver via HDMI and I have a PS3, XBOX360 and a custom built media center pc all hooked up in the remaining HDMI inputs on the Onkyo receiver. I am displaying a 120 inch screen of 1080p magnificence that my previous projector couldn’t even come close to. I know there are other projectors out there that have an even bigger wow effect and besides this projector not being 3D capable there is nothing else wrong or discomforting about this unit. If you are in the market for a great projector at a great price this is the one for youtrust me you will not be sorry you did.

This is my first projector with image shift capability. Lack of keystone correction concerned me, but turned out to be a total non-problem. From out of the box to projecting a great HD 120 inch image was less than 20 minutes.

I wanted to have a NATIVE 1080P RESOLUTION which I do not regret and would not get a projector with lower resolution. One may notice that a projectors specs say they can do 1080 but this is misleading as this is not NATIVE resolution, meaning they try to upconvert to a 1080i (i=interpolated) and it is not the same thing, not even close. I want to see blu rays in their full resolution which this does. One may also purchase an A/V receiver to upconvert the source material for best picture quality, my Blu Ray player also does this upconversion, but it is still not a true 1080P. While not as good as the 1080P one will see when playing a Blu Ray disc for example, the picture from HD cable channel which is 720P is still AMAZING just as good as the picture on my 42 inch LCD HDTV and better than my older 55 inch rear projection HDTV. High Def video from a home video source such as full 1080P from an AVCHD format camcorder for example is stunning and home movies look as good or better than store bought if done properly. The input source is of course going to dictate how good the picture is, so it will look as good as the source input, this is not always the case with all projectors, they have to have the capacity to project the image at full input resolution such as this one. Most projectors that have this resolution cost more and a flat panel in the screen sizes this is capable of are going to be many thousands of dollars more.

This unit when working is not a bad unit. However, I have received this Auto Iris error 2 times in less than 2 months. There is no fix that an individual can apply; it requires being sent back to the manufacturer. This process is cumbersome as they want to charge you for a brand new unit, and then will refund you once they receive the old unit back. Or you can send your defective unit back and they will over-night another unit to you. Second option doesn’t sound bad, right? Well, it takes 3 weeks for them to turnaround and ship your unit back. If this defection only occurred once, I would give it 4 stars, but twice in less than 2 months not so much.

I use the projector for HD content on the ROKU and gaming on my XBOX 360. I get ZERO gaming lag and the picture quality is amazing Looks like a GIANT LCD screen.

Convergence problem. Seems Like two IC’s and may be gma fuse to be checked. Sony color rear video Projector TV Model KP53s35 manufactured 08/1997 serial # 9021578. Like to find out the circuit diagram and the places(Locations) of parts and part #s and cost of the parts before I asked somebody to repair it. Any Suggestions?

I’d give you the website and passwords….but then I’d have to KILL YOU!!

What’s good about being dead….when you can’t watch TV.

Just call your local Sony Authorized Service Center, they’ll PROPERLY repair the problem for a competitive price and you won’t mess up the TV set, ruining the copper traces or breaking the new $ 40 parts you just bought….and you’ll need 2….yes 2 convergence amplifiers!

Q&A: are samsungs 3d glasses compatible with sony 3d tv projectors?

I bought this projector for the current price and have been very happy with it. It was nice to see how bright it was even during the daytime, windows all on one side of the room but no strong light as it is the start of winter and a basement. Summer time it would be good to have curtains for light control like any projector. When I get curtains up I am sure that will take care of any issues during daytime, even in summer. Of course as with any projector the more control over light in the room the better the picture. I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. As a projector unless one has a totally dark room meaning zero light and dark walls then ANSI lumens are important, this one with its 2000 ANSI LUMENS is great and use this to compare with other projectors, if less I would be weary.

Only slight criticisms: the fan noise is a bit louder than I’d hoped (I have to have the high altitude setting on). The placement flexibility is ok but not quite as much as I’d hoped. It wasn’t possible to just put the thing on a shelf at the side of the room as I’d hoped. (Largely because it is necessary to use a fairly significant level of vertical shift unless the projector starts in a relatively high position). But easy enough to work around. The quality of the picture more than compensates.
Installation:

We have it set up at about a 100 inch image and blu ray looks amazing. Just using the wall for now and looks pristine.

I needed a projector with offset. This projector is great for locations where the ceiling is less than 8 ft high and the screen cannot be located directly in front of the projector. I have my theatre in a walk out basement that has 10 ft of full length windows and doors on the west side of the room and the screen on the east wall. I have a 105 inch painted screen (DIY Theatre Platinum Screen Kit available from Amazon vendor Parts Express). The basement is divided by a center wall with two six foot wide doorways that only partially block the light. During the day and evening the light level is very high, but this projector, set on economy mode and cinema provides an acceptible picture. At night, the picture is outstanding. I now have 100 hours on the bulb, and I can’t imagine watching a movie on my flat screen TV. Everyone who has seen the picture is amazed at the quality.

I got my money’s worth and definitely a big step in PQ than my previous PJ. This is one projector I would recommend that will give you all smiles without breaking the bank.

There is no need to worry about “exactly” where to place the projector, no more key-stone to adjust, the wide lense allows you to put the projector a few feet away from the screen literary, and the adjustable lense switches on the unit allow easy centering of images on the screen as well.

I just purchased this projector Jan 2012. So far this unit has exceeded my lofty expectations. The picture and resolution of this unit is amazing. I have tested this unit for 2 weeks and have tried everything from HDTV to PS3 to Blueray content. I have also streamed Netflix through the PS3 and even that picture quality was great. Now it is not as good as Blueray or anything but at a viewing distance of 10ft + I would say the picture quality is very close to viewing on a 40 to 60 HD set. All looks Great The unit has exceptional image quality and brightness even on energy saver mode in a dark room (increaces bulb life). Pretty much ready to go out of the box. Only messed with the tempature of the light a little. Also turned on auto iris. Just tweak the settings to what looks good for you. With a lot of ambient light it does tend to wash out the picture some but not enough to take away from the picture too much. I would avoid any direct light on the screen. In my opinion this unit can be used as a “daily viewer” and can be subsuted for a standard tv. I have my unit approx 16ft from the screen with the zoom set about mid way (sweet spot) of its focal adjustment. At this distance my unit fills my 130” screen. The unit would continue to zoom in to roughly a 80” screen. Or zoom out to make a 160” screen. You will not be disipointed when purchaceing this unit. One drawback I will throw out there for all the ppl that hate the black bars on the screen. This unit, when connected by hdmi cables, does not allow you to change the aspect ratio of the screen or “zoom” the image. You will have to rely on a Blueray player to do that if you want. Also the PS3 does not zoom. If you want to see all of the image in full 1080p you will just have to deal with the bars. In my opinion you loose too much of the picture when you zoom in anyway. If you hate black bars just get a larger screen to compensate :) 130″ is great with this unit

This is the screen I used: FAVI 16:9/120-Inch Electric Projector Screen (HD-120)

I have been a projector fan for about 5 years now. My first on was an old Sony CRT that weighed about 150 lbs. Nothing could beat it’s quality at a low price, until this projector. I’ve had the Epson 8350 for a few weeks now and have been so impressed with the quality of both the machine itself and the image it projects. The various color and light modes are plentiful, ranging from Dynamic for bright rooms to Cinema, perfect for light-controlled spaces.

There is no need to worry about “exactly” where to place the projector, no more key-stone to adjust, the wide lense allows you to put the projector a few feet away from the screen literary, and the adjustable lense switches on the unit allow easy centering of images on the screen as well.

Installation:

This supposed to be the best in the price range. The trouble is it does not have the key-stone adjustment for the lens. It means if you have a little tricky installation situation like we have, it does not work. Only good when the screen and the projector is located relatively parallel . We had to return it.

are samsungs 3d glasses compatible with sony 3d tv projectors?

I purchased the Epson Powerlite HC8350 on-line last Black Friday for $ 999. Prior to this, I owned a Sanyo 720p LCD Projector – the PLV-Z4 – which I bought in May 2006 when 1080p was still just coming out. Because 1080p back then was hyper-hyped and super-pricey and I was just entering the front projector world, I decided to settle for a 720p projector and thought would just upgrade to 1080p when the price is more reasonable or when my PLV-Z4 dies or whichever comes first. The money that I saved, I spent on a nice projector screen – a 110″ Stewart Filmscreen Firehawk.

It give good resolutions for the price

Now I see this as a blessing in disguise. Epson will replace you bulb for free, but you’ll be without a projector for a few days while you wait to receive it. If the bulbs keep burning out around 400 hours (when they are rated for 2000-3000) then you should never have to buy a new bulb. We’ll see what happens though – I’ve only owned this for a few weeks.

I bought this to make Home theater in my basement and it has excellent quality and I would highly recommend this. I also bought OmniMount ECSB Component Shelf for CRT TVs & Video Accessories from Amazon to put this Projector and it works great so if anyone wants to buy this as well together with Projector.

I have this projector hooked up to a blu-ray player via HDMI. It’s ceiling mounted in a family room.

This projector is just amazing. The picture is great. The lens can project with no deformation a wide image and the lens shift horizontally and vertically at a huge range.

I bought this based on reviews on Amazon, and I am totally satisfied. This is the my first projector, and the picture is great, no complains.

The video settings were pretty good out of the box. A few tweaks with a video setup DVD got the picture looking very good. Since I have good light control in my room, I went with the reduced light ECO setting. This reduced the fan noise slightly. Interestingly, changing the color mode to “natural” also reduced the fan noise (and provided the most realistic color). With these two settings, the fan noise was very low and I didn’t notice it once a video was playing. The projector lets you have different settings for each input and remembers them when you switch between them, which is a nice touch. The one flaw I found when exploring the setup features was with the auto iris feature. It was loud- it sounded like a hard drive in a computer clicking away as it adjusted. Unlike the fan noise, the iris noise was noticeable over the programming. I ultimately decided not to use the auto iris at all. It seems a little gimicky and was kind of noticeable visually when it changed on the screen. I think Epson just included this feature so they could claim higher contrast ratios on their marketing slides and don’t expect anyone to actually use it.
